Eat Local Challenge POTLUCKS

In June 2010, the first of a series of monthly local food potlucks were held.  The purpose of the potlucks were to encourage the consumption of local food by the general public, create a space where people could share and educate each other about where to find local food and how to cook with the seasons, and finally to connect the local food movement with other environmental themes, for example the local biking community.

The potlucks were a success, which was a happy surprise for all of us.   We gathered, ate healthy local food and met new people knowing that we all shared a common interest.  We will continue the local food potlucks in the New Year.

Check the events page for the date and location of this month's potluck.
